Ambassador Hotel Frankston
Located at the entrance to Frankston, the 1980s-era Ambassador Hotel closed a few years ago. The 110 motel rooms have since been converted into studio and two-bedroom apartments, the restaurant and function area out the front has been progressively trashed.

The building has been closed since September and from a report I got from a fellow Urban Explorer who went there a month and couldn’t get in, so it seems the building has only been accessible for a month or so, and only a small amount of stuff has been smashed, which proves to be quite amazing. It was obvious someone had slept there, but some of the chandeliers had been smashed, and glass was lying on top of the bedding, meaning no one was staying there at the moment. Strangely all of the water was still on, but weirdest of all, all of the lights in the kitchen were on, the room was lit dimly with Fluros, freakiest thing I’ve seen in all my Urbex Trips…
